MISSION STATEMENT
Yebo Life’s mission is to empower disenfranchised youth in Minnesota, by providing access to multimedia arts education, professional mentorship, and cultural exchange opportunities that foster creativity, economic independence, and a deep connection to African heritage. Through a state-of-the-art multimedia studio, a boutique nonprofit label, and transformative trips to Tanzania, we inspire young people to monetize their artistic talents, embrace their cultural roots, and build bridges between African and African American communities.
ABOUT
Yebo Life is a transformative nonprofit organization based in St. Paul, Minnesota, founded by 3x Grammy-nominated recording artist, performer, and producer Allan Kingdom. Born from a powerful response to the civil unrest in Minneapolis following the murder of George Floyd in 2020, Yebo Life began with Allan Kingdom’s commitment to addressing immediate community needs while laying the foundation for long-term systemic change. Leveraging his global notoriety in the music and entertainment industries, Kingdom mobilized a grassroots fundraising campaign that resonated across the Twin Cities and beyond. Through this effort, Yebo Life successfully raised funds to provide thousands of pounds of food, feminine hygiene products, and household goods to disenfranchised and low-income communities in the Twin Cities. A standout achievement was the organization’s collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ luxury streetwear brand Billionaire Boys Club to donate a new vehicle to a young woman whose car was totaled by the Minneapolis Police Department during the unrest, showcasing Yebo Life’s ability to deliver tangible, life-changing support.
